Log and Timber Defense is a new technology semi-transparent wood stain that provides the ease of application and penetration of the older solvent oils with the performance and longevity of a penetrating polymer based finish. This combination is truly unique. 

Log & Timber Defense penetrates into the wood like an oil coating, but unlike oils, it hardens into a lattice, supporting and strengthening the natural wood fibers to protect the wood from the inside out. Specifically Formulated to Inhibit the Growth of Mold and Mildew on the Penetrating Lattice.
 
Ideal for sprucing up existing homes with oil finishes or a lasting durable finish for new construction.

  • Refer to product label for application instructions

Surface Preparation
  • Apply to clean, dry surface
  • Free of mold and mildew
  • Never use steel wool

Frequency
  • As needed, depending on exposure
Special Instructions
  • "wet-on-wet" application: apply first coat liberally  to the point of saturation with a follow up coat before the first coat dries.
  • Back-brushing required
  • Stir container every 15 minutes/paint stick
  • Maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks
  • Avoid applying in direct sun
Drying Time
  • Dry to the touch in 15 minutes, tack free in 30 minutes *Depending on Temp and Humidity*
Coverage
  • 175-250 square feet / gallon depending on the porosity of the wood
